I am a senior podcast producer at The Economist, where I make long-form narrative audio for The Weekend Intelligence. I was senior producer of Tocqueville Road Trip, a six-part series for America's 250th birthday, and produced Boom!, a series on the generation that blew up American politics, released before the 2024 election.
Before The Economist I worked in television and radio: as sole producer of How to Write a Book, a top-ten podcast executive produced by Elizabeth Day; on the investigative team behind Channel 4's Miners' Strike 1984: The Battle for Britain, nominated for a BAFTA; and at the BBC, producing for Radio 4's More or Less, Law in Action and The Briefing Room, and developing investigations for Panorama.
With Hardcash Productions I worked on Britain's 'Virginity' Clinics Uncovered, an undercover investigation for ITV. Virginity testing and hymenoplasty were banned under the Health and Care Act 2022. I have also written for UnHerd, on the man behind the internet's biggest deepfake-pornography site.
The work I care most about takes one story and gives it the time it needs: a father's escape on the last boat out of Poland; three young women studying in secret in Afghanistan; a town that survived a siege.
